• Israeli Aviation Minister Elikohan arrived in Delhi yesterday on a 3-day visit. He was accorded a warm welcome by the Union Ministry of External Affairs. Elikohan then met Union Minister of State for Aviation S.Jenjankar. 
• At that time, the two ministers held discussions on taking forward the relationship between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, water, security, cooperation in health, high technology, digital sector, etc. Subsequently, in the presence of Union Water Resources Minister Gajendrasingh Sekhawat and Israeli Air Force Minister Elikohan, 3 agreements were signed between the two countries.

• In the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stal today (9.05.2023) in an event held by the Department of Industry, Investment Promotion and Trade in Chennai, Mitsubishi Electric Limited Company 1891, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation of Japan and Mitsubishi Electric Asia Private Limited of Singapore, An MoU is being executed between the Government of Tamil Nadu and Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd for the provision of Structured Incentives (Structured Assistance Package) for setting up a manufacturing plant of Room Air Conditioners and Compressors for an investment of Rs. This has provided employment to more than 2000 people in the company.

ASEAN – India Maritime Exercise 2023

• The ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise (AIME 2023) successfully commenced on May 8, 2023 in the South China Sea. 
• About 1400 soldiers from 9 ships participated in this naval exercise. Domestically, INS Delhi, INS Satpura, coastal patrol aircraft B-8I and helicopters were engaged in the exercise along with naval vessels from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

India’s G20 Leadership: Third Development Task Force Meeting
