• ‘ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்’ என்று பொருள்படும் ‘சன்ஷோதக்’ என்று பெயரிடப்பட்ட கப்பல், முதன்மையான ஆய்வுக் கப்பலாக செயல்படும்.
• நான்கு ஆய்வுக் கப்பல்களை உருவாக்குவதற்கான ஒப்பந்தம் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சகம், கொல்கத்தா கார்டன் ரீச் ஷிப் பில்டர்ஸ் & இன்ஜினியர்ஸ் (ஜிஆர்எஸ்இ) இடையே 2018 ம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 30 அன்று கையெழுத்தானது. 
• கட்டுமான உத்தியின்படி, முதல் கப்பல் கொல்கத்தாவில் கட்டப்பட்டு மீதமுள்ள மூன்று கப்பல்களின் கட்டுமான அலங்கார நிலை வரை, எல்&டி ஷிப் பில்டிங், காட்டுப்பள்ளிக்கு துணை ஒப்பந்தம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• திட்டத்தின் முதல் மூன்று கப்பல்களான சந்தயாக், நிர்தேஷாக் மற்றும் இக்ஷாக் ஆகியவை முறையே 2021 டிசம்பர் 5, 2022 மே 26 மற்றும் 2022 நவம்பர் 26 ஆகிய தேதிகளில் தொடங்கப்பட்டன.
• ஆய்வுக் கப்பல்கள், கடல்சார் தரவுகளை சேகரிக்க, புதிய தலைமுறை ஹைட்ரோகிராஃபிக் கருவிகளுடன், தற்போதுள்ள சந்தயாக் கிளாஸ் சர்வே கப்பல்களை மாற்றும். இந்த ஆய்வுக் கப்பல்கள் 110 மீ நீளம், 16 மீ அகலம் மற்றும் 3,400 டன் எடை கொண்டது. 
• இந்தக் கப்பல்கள், ஸ்டீல் அத்தாரிட்டி ஆஃப் இந்தியா லிமிடெட் மூலம் உள்நாட்டிலேயே உருவாக்கப்பட்ட டிஎம்ஆர் 249-ஏ எஃகு மூலம் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டது.
• நான்கு ஆய்வு மோட்டார் படகுகள் மற்றும் ஒரு ஒருங்கிணைந்த ஹெலிகாப்டரை எடுத்துச் செல்லும் திறன் கொண்ட கப்பல்களின் முதன்மைப் பங்கு, துறைமுகங்கள் மற்றும் வழிசெலுத்தல் வழிகளில் முழு அளவிலான கடலோர மற்றும் ஆழமான பகுதிகளில் ஆய்வுகளை மேற்கொள்வதாகும். 
• பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் சிவில் பயன்பாடுகளுக்கு கடல்சார் மற்றும் புவி இயற்பியல் தரவுகளை சேகரிப்பதற்காக கப்பல்கள் பயன்படுத்தப்படும். அவசர காலங்களில் மருத்துவமனைக் கப்பலாகவும் செயல்பட முடியும்.

ரூ.8,000 கோடி மதிப்பிலான பேரிடர் மேலாண்மை திட்டங்களை அறிவித்தார் அமித்ஷா

Former DGP Shakil Akhtar appointed as Tamil Nadu Chief Information Commissioner

• In this situation, the Tamil Nadu government has announced that former DGP Shakil Akhtar has been appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner of Tamil Nadu today. Commissioner posts are also filled in Tamil Nadu State Information Commission. 
• Former ATGPs Thamaraikannan, Priyakumar, Thirumalai Muthu and Selvaraj have been appointed as commissioners. Shakil Akhtar will serve as Chief Information Commissioner for three years.

Amit Shah announced disaster management schemes worth Rs 8,000 crore

In that meeting, Amit Shah announced three major schemes for disaster management worth Rs 8,000 crore.
• Accordingly, he said that a total of Rs 5,000 crore project will be implemented to expand and modernize fire services in the states, and Rs 2,500 crore project will be implemented for the 7 most populous cities of Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune.
• Also, Amit Shah said that National Landslide Risk Mitigation Program will be implemented at Rs 825 crore for landslide mitigation in 17 States and Union Territories. 
• He said that in the last nine years, the Central Government has achieved a lot in the field of disaster management and the states where nuclear power plants are set up have been given strict protocols to follow in emergency situations.

Drug regulator of India approves first indigenously developed tissue graft device for minimally scarring skin wound healing

• 13th June 2023 CURRENT AFFAIRS TNPSC EXAM PORTAL IN TAMIL & ENGLISH PDF: An indigenously developed tissue drug from mammalian organs has been approved by India’s drug regulator for a low-cost biomedical device that rapidly heals skin wounds with minimal scarring.
• The approval has been received as it has all the required legal aspects for the Central Government Drug Quality Control Organization certification. Sri Chitrai Thirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology, an autonomous institution of the Central Department of Science and Technology, has the distinction of being the first institute in the country to develop class D medical devices meeting all statutory requirements.
• The use of animal products as advanced wound care products is not new. But the indigenous technology to manufacture quality products that meet the requirements of the drug regulator was not yet available. Hence, such goods were imported at high cost.
• A type of tissue grafting device called Cholederm has been discovered as a result of 15 years of research led by Professor D.V. Anilkumar. It has been found to heal burns and diabetic wounds with less scarring.
• With the introduction of Koladerm in the Indian market, the treatment cost is expected to be reduced from Rs.10,000/- to Rs.2,000/-, making it affordable for the common man.

PM Modi issued appointment orders for 70,000 people under Rojkar Mela scheme

Launch of fourth research vessel ‘Sanshotak’ at L&T Port

• Vice Admiral Adhir Arora, Chief Hydrologist of the Central Government attended the program as the special guest. Ms. Dhanvi Arora, Chief Maritime Officer of the Navy, launched the ship by reciting the Atharvana Vedic Mantra.
• The vessel named ‘Sanshotak’, meaning ‘explorer’, will serve as the primary research vessel.
• A contract to build four research vessels was signed on 30 October 2018 between the Ministry of Defence, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata.
• As per the construction strategy, the first vessel will be built in Kolkata and the remaining three vessels will be sub-contracted to L&D Shipbuilding, Kattupalli till the outfitting stage.
• The first three ships of the project namely Sandayak, Nirteshak and Ikshak were launched on 5 December 2021, 26 May 2022 and 26 November 2022 respectively.
• The survey vessels will replace the existing Sandayak class survey vessels with new generation hydrographic instruments to collect oceanographic data. These research vessels are 110 m long, 16 m wide and weigh 3,400 tons.
• These vessels are made of indigenously developed TMR 249-A steel by Steel Authority of India Limited.
• Capable of carrying four survey motor boats and an integrated helicopter, the primary role of the vessels is to carry out surveys of the full range of coastal and deep sea areas in ports and navigation channels.
• The ships will be used to collect oceanographic and geophysical data for defense and civil applications. It can also act as a hospital ship in case of emergencies.
• The launch of the fourth survey vessel reinforces our commitment to indigenous shipbuilding as part of the government’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Self-reliant India’ initiatives.
